  1. I’m glad to see Detroit featured. There are a ton of great restaurants now in Midtown, especially. The Detroit Institute of Arts, also in Midtown, is world-class. In its atrium, it features the famous Diego Rivera mural that Detroit commissioned to showcase Detroit industry. You can take a long bike ride along the Dequindre Cut — a former rail line. There are annual festivals and art fairs that are worth making the signature event when you visit the city. For instance, the Dally in the Alley is usually around Labor Day Weekend. It’s a huge event now. Thanks for your perspective of the city!
